WSP is currently initiating a search for a Traffic Engineer I for our Columbus, Ohio office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Traffic signal design

  • Signing and Markings Plans

  • Safety studies (accident analysis, collision diagrams)

  • Intersection and corridor improvement studies

  • Signal phasing and timing optimization studies

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field

  • EIT Certificate

  • 0-3 years of experience or equivalent working knowledge/experience in the field of traffic engineering

  • Experience preferred with common traffic engineering software including: HCS+, AutoTURN, AutoCAD or Microstation, Synchro/Sim Traffic and VISSIM (or any other micro-simulation tool experience is acceptable).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Power Point

  • Local candidates preferred
