Huntington National Bank Audit Group Manager - Finance, Capital Planning, and Accounting in Columbus, Ohio
Our Audit Group Manager will manage the day-to-day audit activities for assigned audit engagements within the Finance, Capital Planning, and Accounting business segments. This position will concurrently supervise and coordinate planning, execution, and reporting of multiple audit engagements in such areas as SEC/ Regulatory Reporting, Treasury, Payroll, Model Risk Management, CCAR, Human Resources and Risk.
Our highly motivated Audit Group Manager will:
Manage and develop a team of 3 audit colleagues;
Develop, execute, and supervise audit testing procedures to ensure the adequacy of the system of internal controls, adherence to bank policies and procedures, and compliance with governmental regulations;
Evaluate audit results to determine if issues exist and formal findings are necessary, and communicate results with various levels of management;
Develop and implement continuous audit and monitoring program to remain current on all issues affecting assigned areas of responsibility;
Identify opportunities to use data analytics within assigned audit engagements and coordinate with IA’s Data Analytic team;
Interact with and communicate audit results to senior and Executive Management during audit engagements;
Monitor annual audit plan progress and changes, engagement staffing and audit finding status and follow-up related to areas of responsibilities;
Manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously;
Prepare and review Annual Risk Assessments as necessary;
Ensure audit goals and objectives are met.
10 plus years of experience that may be a combination of internal audit, business segment or risk experience focused on risk and control assessment and risk-based auditing project management;
MBA or other advanced degree;
CPA, CIA, or other pertinent certification or demonstrated progress toward certification
Leadership experience and ability to accomplish goals through influence management and motivation;
Strong working knowledge of applicable regulatory guidance and core banking processes;
Ability to work in a fast paced, complex, results driven environment, and to readily adapt to changes;
Expert written and verbal communication skills, ability to independently engage with management at all levels;
Conflict management experience
