Mechanical Rebuild Tech is a vital role in the daily operations of our facility. Maintaining the maintenance rebuild program is vital to the success of the maintenance dept savings and spare parts for our equipment to reduce downtime. Individuial will be self driving taking the initivitive to succeed in these processes.

Principal Accountabilities

o Determine Failure and Rebuild Various Gearbox’s/Pumps/valves/hyd units etc.

o Monitor/Maintain/Rebuild/Discard parts that have been returned to the complex.

o Startup/PM/Respond to calls on all Case erector machines

o Work with vendors/Supply to obtain necessary quotes, parts, and materials

o Maintain Maintenance shop Organization and cleanliness

o Work directly with supply/planner/management on maintaining inventory of items that have been rebuilt/refurbished

o Test all electrical Motors


Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must have high school diploma

  • Must have simple math skills, which includes fractions and algebra

  • Must be able to read and write in english

  • Must have knowledge of hand and power tools, ability to identify proper tool for specific tasks

  • Ability to work independently and with other technicians

  • Ability and willingness to train other technicians

  • Ability to work with Vendors to specify and order parts

  • Must have the ability to weld non structural items such as Guards/Bracketry ect

  • Must have knowledge of electrical testing processes and troubleshooting electrical motors

Prefered Qualifications

  • Must have experience with fabricating equipment such as mill, lathe, shear

  • Must have a certification in pipe welding or the ability to obtain a certification with in 18months

  • Must have welding experience with mig, tig and stick

  • Able to participate in facility HAZMAT membership, at minimum supporting role

  • High school diploma, preferred some college

  • Have a state issued operator driver license and able to meet Cargill’s Safe Driving Program requirements
