Manufacturing Supervisor

Position Overview

Position Overview: To supervise all shift employees and provide leadership in metrics related to the day to day operations within the department (i.e. safety, quality, waste, productivity, cost reductions). Execute effective communication, develop and consistently manage associates within the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all job duties using safe work methods to drive department performance in all aspects of the department.

  • Administrative responsibilities (Policies, Workday, Time and Attendance - Kronos, etc.)

  • Train and develop team members to help them reach their goals.

  • Communicate and enforce standards and expectations for all shift employees.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager.

  • Work effectively to achieve consistency in daily work related activities utilizing Support Team.

  • Conduct pre-shift meetings - communicate with previous shift supervisor and associates on any changes, issues, or concerns at the start of shift.

  • Ensure daily safety meetings are conducted with associates. Perform Stretch and Flex.

  • Validate shift staffing meets the current needs. Communicate assignment needs with employees as required.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and previous Lead or Supervisor experience in manufacturing required.

  • 4 year degree preferred.

  • Previous one plus years of supervisory experience preferred.

  • Must possess good interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
