BlueVoyant Technical Account Manager - Client Experience Team in College Park, Maryland

The preference is that the successful candidate is located in the College Park, MD or surrounding area and can telecommute from home and travel to prospects and clients as necessary.

BlueVoyant is looking for a Technical Account Manager to help manage our clients Managed Security experience. You will be part of a fast-paced team that helps our clients reduce the impact of security incidents and ensures that critical business operations continue unhindered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own BlueVoyant Managed Security client relationship and overall journey

  • Safeguard the clients MSS experience, providing consistency, reliability and repeatability in communication and documentation

  • Interface between the client and the various Managed Security operations teams

  • Own client issues from identification to resolution

  • Maximize client relationship by building a rapport, trust, and confidence

  • Engage with sales team to identify opportunities to expand client portfolio

  • Uses professional and technical concepts to advise on best security practices to apply to customer environments

  • Manages customer base independently with wide latitude for independent judgment and ownership of issues

Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Knowledge of and experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems and SIEM software

  • Knowledge and understanding of network protocols and devices

  • Experience with Windows, Mac OS, and Unix environments

  • Advanced knowledge of servers, computer hardware, and software

  • Expert understanding of Managed Security Service delivery

  • Ability to adapt working style and approach to best communicate with various business contacts and levels written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex technical topics in clear and easy-to-understand language

  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with a globally distributed team

  • Able and willing to work in a 24/7/365 environment, including nights and weekends on call

  • Progressive knowledge of technology industry as a whole and understanding of customer verticals

  • Expert interpersonal written and verbal communication skills as well as negotiation skills

  • Excellent creative problem solving abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of cyber security business products, industry trends, and best practices

  • Advanced understanding of BlueVoyant differentiators in the market and ability to communicate that difference of value to key stakeholders

  • Able to prioritize a highly varied work level in order to maintain required productivity levels

  • Ability to thrive in a complex and rapidly changing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-6 year of hands-on technical client relationship management experience

  • Security +, Network +, CISSP, and other relevant certifications preferred


  • Minimum bachelor?s degree in Information Security or other IT-related field. Exceptional candidates with proven experience in security/network operations will also be considered.
