Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer

Job Location: Clifton, NJ

Job Description:

Lead an engineering team to successfully execute low rate initial production of a complex RF/microwave system containing circuit cards and microelectronics assemblies for use in electronic warfare applications.

Essential Functions:

  • Train, mentor, and organize the efforts of a team of approximately 10 engineers and technicians to fulfill production in accordance with schedule and budget.

  • Supervise testing and troubleshooting of approximately 200 RF/microwave subassemblies of four different varieties (frequency converters, high power amplifiers, RF front ends, RF distribution modules)

  • Communicate status to Project Engineering, Engineering Management and Program Management on a frequent and recurring basis.

  • Investigate, understand, and provide timely solutions to complex RF performance issues.

  • Provide on-demand engineering updates to designs in support of production

  • Oversee the production hand-off from engineering to operations after initial builds are complete

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field and 9 years of related experience OR M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field and 7 years of related experience

  • Active US DOD SECRET security clearance

  • 9+ years experience utlizing key RF parameters (bandwidth, gain compression, intermodulation distortion, noise figure, spurious emissions)

  • 9+ years experience authoring manufacturing test procedures and guiding test automation activities

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active US DOD TOP SECRET security clearance

  • Exposure to both PCB and chip/wire circuit construction

  • Experience with GaN SSPAs

  • Familiarity with LabVIEW software environment

  • Experience leading complex root cause/corrective action analyses
