The function of the Customer Technical Service Engineer is to manage customers' technical issues related to ProAmpac products. The CTS Engineer will provide ongoing customer support and proactively managing product quality. This position will work with Sales, Quality, and Product Development to improve service and grow relationships with customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures. Ensures that co-workers are also following safety rules.

  • Provide technical assistance to ProAmpac's customers for existing products.

  • Proactive understanding of changes in the packaging machinery industry and stays abreast of changing technology.

  • Establish packaging machinery vendor relationships and leverage those relationships when required with ProAmpac's customers.

  • Manage packaging machinery and material vendor relationships as required.

  • Collaborate with R&D, sales, operations, and quality to drive growth with our customers

  • Demonstrates appropriate attitude in all dealings with coworkers, customers, and suppliers.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited University in an engineering discipline

  • 5 years' work experience in flexible packaging technical service role or similar

  • Product or industry specific machine experience

  • Trouble shooting/problem solving skills

  • Strong leadership and persuasive communication skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Willingness to travel, up to 100% at times

  • Technically apt and knows how to leverage technology

  • Excellent coaching skills mentor, people development capabilities

  • Proximity to an airline hub preferred

  • Complete understanding of all ProAmpac manufacturing processes

Work Environment

  • Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required.
