Collins Aerospace is looking to hire an Inventory Specialist who is experienced in Materials Planning and is a Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) professional who is responsible for the supply and demand planning process. You will be making moderate improvements to systems and processes to enhance the performances of the work area and team. You will also work with the internal team to develop financial forecasts and help create standardized processes that will be used throughout the various programs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identifies appropriate demand streams and establishes data relationship linkages.

  • Responsible for tracking appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement.

  • Establishes clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP.

  • Supports the creation and execution plan for every part and maintain master data for purchased parts, sub-assemblies, end items and other parts as required.

  • Tracks and manages inter/intraplant standard work in process (SWIP)

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacuting Sites on a recurring basis to ensure that all assumptions and inventory-related metrics are aligned across the value stream.

  • Lead the data collection for the monthly working capital presentation for the value stream group, lead the execution of inventoryy reducion opportuynites and report out on a monthy basis to senior level leadership.

  • Lead the value stream in safety stock strategies with the appropriate settigns in the ERP system.

  • Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that SAP parameters are accurate and up to date through the deployment of effective materials planning tools.

  • Track and report key performance indicators (Days to Manufacture, Days on Hand, Input/Output etc…) and proactively identify appropriate actions to close gaps and to drive continuous improvement.

  • Develop Standard Work in Process forecasts for all the components manufactured internally, identify gaps and lead efforts to close the gap.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications

  • Analytical experience (operational, financial, material management or other relevant analytical experience)

  • Must be expert in MS Excel

  • Must be able to communicate and work cross functionally with various groups throughout the organization

  • Must be able to travel 30% of the time between Riverside CA, San Marcos TX, Foley AL, Tianjin China, Hamburg Germany, Mexicali MX and France.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ERP Experience, preferably with SAP ERP for manufacturing

  • Supply Chain Management experience

  • APICS certified is preferred, not required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of prior relevant experience, or

  • Advanced degree and three years of prior relevant experience
