Kimco Facility Services LLC is seeking a highly effective Risk Management Specialist, based out of Chicago, IL. The Risk Management Specialist is responsible for handling day to day risk and claims operations, ensuring compliance with applicable state and/or federal safety standards, and conducting training and safety meetings. Primary Functions:

+ Deep understanding of risk modeling across all relevant types of risk, ability to bring external best practices to life

n

+ Exceptional change management and people leadership skills

n

+ Creative, strategic thinker who is hypothesis driven and uses data, judgment & pattern recognition to learn and move quickly

n

+ Experience defining, developing and leading large programs and achieving game changing results

n

+ Communicate safety policies and practices to staff members

n

+ Ensure all staff members have received training on safe work practices

n

+ Conduct and manage audits to ensure staff members are demonstrating safe work practices

n

+ Communicate with vendors regarding status of Integrity safety programs and safety incidents/injuries

n

+ Audit and manage database entry of all safety incidents and injuries occurring in the facility or client facilities

n

+ Analyze data for trends and outliers that need to be addressed and communicate findings, contributing factors, and potential solutions

n

+ Comply with all Federal and State Employment and Safety Laws.

+ Understand and communicate OSHA policies and regulations as it relates to our business.

+ Maintain Workers Compensation, General Liability, Automobile, and Employment case management, risk/loss and safety assessments

n

+ Conduct meetings with operations team and clients (report or review findings on accidents, injuries and preventive measures)

n

+ Represent and advocate for company's best interest

n

+ Consistently maintain professionalism with internal and external customers

n

+ Defines the strategic direction of future development and enhancement for a given product or service; presents a vision of the future predicated on a thesis of where the market, clients and competitors are headed, leveraging quantitative analysis and other sources of information.

n

+ Oversees teams that delineate the strategic functional requirements of a proposed product/service, with prioritization of features and capabilities to inform subsequent decisions and, possibly, ultimate design and delivery trade-offs.

+ With respect to defined strategies and goals, evaluates and manages new business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures.

n

+ Guides and interprets analyses covering the economics, technical, legal, regulatory, market and competitive environments.

n

+ Monitors gathered competitive intelligence and identifies company's needs.

n

+ Manages the existing product portfolio to fulfill financial objectives across short, medium, and long-range and strategic plans.

+ Builds strong working relationships with internal partners
