As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will:
Carry out general maintenance and upkeep of the Hazelden Chicago site.
Provide patients, visitors, patient family members, vendors and staff a safe and secure environment.
Specific responsibilities include:
Ensure that high standards of safety are developed, met and maintained at Hazelden Chicago.
Ensure that facility and grounds are maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, agency standards and fiscal considerations.
Ensure that major equipment and furnishings are maintained in a safe, operable condition and/or arrange for replacement.
Arrange for or provide training for staff and clients as it relates to safety and maintenance topics.
Maintain files for regulatory agencies; ensure files are current and updated.
Develop professional relationships with all vendors, to ensure all provided services are economically and professionally completed.
Perform all job functions in a safe manner to minimize risk of injury to self and others.
High school education or equivalent
Building system maintenance experience - 2 yrs.
Current driver’s license
Vocational or Technical Training
Current first aid certification
Current CPR certification
Hours of Work (Text): Wed-Fri 5pm-9pm, Sat 7am-12pm and on call for emergencies
