KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • As US Risk Data Lead, liaise with risk data and reporting teams in Toronto and risk data and report owners across the US Region to foster regional alignment of risk data and reporting practices and capabilities with global policies and standards

  • Design and deliver new or enhanced programs, for example, designing methods to integrate capital and credit stress testing into risk appetite and reporting, building conduct and reputation risk frameworks and associated process and governance, enhancing management information systems to provide comprehensive, accurate, and timely ERM reporting, and creating sustainability plans and processes to monitor compliance with ERM policy requirements.

  • Support the Executive Director, Head of US ERM Programs in the quarterly operation of the US Region Management Risk Committee, coordinating reports, agendas, and materials.

  • Contribute to risk reporting activities for senior management governance committees in the US and head office committees, preparing presentations and compiling relevant data.

  • Maintain and oversee enterprise-wide training programs for various ERM requirements.

  • Driving and participating in continual improvement projects across various ERM Workstreams to meet regulatory expectations.

  • Working closely with the Risk Policy group in Toronto, coordinate and support the ongoing integration and maintenance of other US risk policies, creating and maintaining regional policy supplements where required.

  • Coordinate US resolution planning, providing a key Risk Management interface with Legal, Treasury and Financial Crisis Management Group in drafting and revising resolution plans and associated reports and presentations.

  • Graduate degree

  • Strong risk management or related financial services experience, including solid knowledge of the financial markets and regulatory environment

  • Previous experience in policy development and regulatory programs

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong research skills and analytical capabilities

  • Ability to assimilate and interpret analysis and trends in order to reach conclusions regarding the type and magnitude of risk across all risk types and businesses for strategic decision making purposes

  • Strong relationship management skills and team-orientation

  • Superior time management skills, with ability to effectively prioritize
