Job Title: ServerCompensation Type: HourlyDirect Report: Front of House Lead Server, Assistant General Manager, General ManagerPosition: ServerJob Summary: The server position is vital to achieving excellent front-of-house customer service Three Notchd Brewing Company. Duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders, and ensuring guests are properly served and all payments are collected.Essential Tasks and Responsibilities: Maintain a positive attitude, smile and greet customers Be polite with customers during the service and make sure they are satisfied with their order before helping the next customerReports to work on time and in proper uniform.Checks with Manager for assigned station, opening side work, and closing side work duties.Reports to line-up for review of the days activities, groups in house, and menus.Sets-up, organizes, maintains, and closes the restaurant or catering functions ensuring that areas are stocked and cleaned.Properly set tables.Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils Assist co-workers in setting up and breaking down stations as designated by the managerTake food and drink orders from customers accurately using our Point of Sale (POS) system, Toast.Check identification of guests to ensure guests are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages. Refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age.If consuming alcoholic beverages, observe guests behavior, count number of drinks served, and if the server feels they should not drive, ask a manager to intervene.Collect payments from tables at the conclusion of their service.Utilize proper food handling procedures and food safety knowledgeMust have product knowledge to effectively service the customer and answer questions about menu items Effectively suggests and sells beer to customersSeparate and remove waste and place it in the appropriate receptacleUnderstand the proper use of and storage of chemicals used in the location. Be familiar with the chemical SDS book and its contents. Report all injuries immediately to your manager/supervisorAdditional Job Functions: Cross-train in other areas as required by your managerWork in other areas or departments as neededCompletion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the management team.Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilitiesRequired Qualifications:Good interpersonal communication skills Excellent Customer Service SkillsAbility to work in a team environment Must be able to balance and carry multiple food and beverages to and from dining areaMust be able to bend and/or reach under and around tables and booths for cleaning purposesWell-groomed and role appropriate attire Desired Qualifications: 1-year banquet/wait staff experienceAbility to carry at least 4 meals on a tray at any given timeTIPS Certified Work Environment:This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns.
