University of Virginia Integration Engineer Senior, Software Systems Integration in Charlottesville, Virginia
The University of Virginia Medical Center is seeking an Integration Engineer Senior, Software Systems in its Charlottesville, Virginia location. The position will be responsible for providing implementation and ongoing operational support of integration between systems including but not limited to the primary Electronic Medical Records and ancillary systems.
Responsible for providing implementation and ongoing operational support of integration between systems including but not limited to the primary Electronic Medical Records and ancillary systems.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: performing duties of considerable complexity in support of integration implementation and ongoing operational support of computing systems, including collaborating with a team of onsite and offsite engineers/developers for design, development, implementation and maintenance of HL7, Web Services, and other integration services and solutions; demonstrating overall responsibility for hardware/software installation and maintenance, system performance, and problem resolution; Analyzing future needs and making recommendations including taking initiative for identifying areas for system improvement; providing high level expertise and technical direction for systems hardware/software support services; and supporting both internal and external customers.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT engineering field or related including the following:
5 years of HL7 design/implementation and hospital workflow experience;
5 years of Epic Bridges experience;
Epic Bridges Certification; and
Epic Data Courier, Epic Chronicles Non-Programmer, or Epic Chronicles Programmer Certification
Percentage of travel required : 5%
Telecommuting allowed : 1 day per week
Anticipated Hiring Range: $87,000.00 - $112,000.00
