Bank of America Tech Project Manager - Open Banking Channel in Charlotte, North Carolina
The Open Banking Channel is responsible for onboarding and managing API integrations for third parties and Fintechs that provide alternate banking experiences to our customers. Initially focussed on Aggregator partnerships. The IT project manager will be responsible for managing API implementation and API client onboarding projects supporting our third party Fintech partners.
The IT Project Manager is a dual role responsible for managing Open Banking-related projects and organizational practices (Scrum). The IT Project Manager plans, organizes, monitors and controls projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion. Develop and socialize potential risk mitigation strategies. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed,
Required Skills/ Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in a technical project manager role in an agile environment
Rally, JIRA or Version One experience is preferred
Knowledge of Agile methodology and framework (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.)
Knowledge of software development lifecycle SDLC
Able to work independently with limited supervision.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent work experience
FIELD OF EXPERTISE: Experience in working on multiple projects at the same time. Good time management skills; ability to set priorities, adapt to team needs and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively at different levels within the organization. Previous success working in a dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Fluent in technology and strong knowledge of project and software development methodologies / techniques. Solid presentation, facilitation, and workshop skills. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, adaptation and conflict-management skills.

Manages projects limited in scope to LOB products, processes or functions although some may have cross-functional or inter-departmental implications. Serves as secondary contact to senior department managers for critical change initiatives and provides assistance to staff. Partners with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change. Accountable for initiatives limited in scope to department products, processes or functions although some may have cross-functional or inter-departmental implications. Accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation. Plans, organizes, monitors and controls projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion. Develop and socialize potential risk mitigation strategies. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed. Partners with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change. Responsible for Clarity and PCM updates and project documents. Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Typically 3+ plus years of project management support experience.
