Bank of America Senior Financial Analyst - Legal Entity Management in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

The Strategic Transformation and Entity Management Group within Global Financial Control is tasked with optimizing and managing the legal entity organizational structure within Bank of America and other strategic restructuring initiatives. This Group is the content owner of the Enterprise Subsidiary Governance policy, the Legal Entity Action Request (LEAR) process and the supporting workflow tool, and works through a variety of legal entity related projects including restructuring transactions.

This teammate will be responsible for supporting a number of activities within the Group such as the LEAR business process, working on small enhancements to the LEAR workflow tool to augment controls and efficiency, providing training and general support for the workflow tool, coordinating the ongoing elimination of legal entities, supporting the Subsidiary Governance policy and the Branch Governance standard as well as other initiatives across the Group as necessary.

Required Skills

  • Background in finance or accounting, and/or audit, compliance

  • Familiarity with other parts of the organization either in the business or other control functions

  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships with business partners

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Critical problem solver

  • Team player that will roll up sleeves and carry out a variety of tasks

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once while still adhering to deadlines

  • Self-motivated

  • Attention to detail

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience

  • Strong organizational skills

Desirable Skills

  • Understanding of compliance and governance routines

  • Basic understanding of banking regulation

  • Experience documenting and assessing business process flows

  • Experience in managing small projects

  • Experience working with technology to document business requirements and participate in user acceptance testing
