Bank of America Senior Financial Analyst- FR Y-14Q/M Regulatory Reporting in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

The Centralized Regulatory Reporting (CRR) team is part of the CFO-Global Financial Control organization. Our purpose is to drive high quality regulatory reports through operationally efficient control processes and system solutions to support the production of various regulatory reports as required by the Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC and other regulators. CRR is looking for highly motivated individual for a Senior Financial Analyst position seeking to expand their knowledge and expertise. The candidates that will be responsible for documentation, interpretation and communication of regulatory reporting requirements and maintenance of reporting data dictionaries.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic environment that offers numerous opportunities to learn, grow, impact and drive changes for the Company. In particular, the candidate will:

  • Work independently while partnering with other associates throughout the company to monitor data quality, improve methodologies, and manage responses to business partner and regulators' questions on the data reported

  • Work closely with teams across the organization including: Enterprise Stress Test, Lines of Business, Operations & Technology, Risk, Compliance, Financial Controls and Oversight, and other GFC teams to resolve regulatory reporting issues.

  • Be a quick learner and possess intellectual curiosity and proactively investigate issues

  • Strive for quality and accuracy and have the dependability necessary to meet strict quarterly deadlines

  • Pay rigorous attention to compliance procedures,

Enterprise Role Overview:

Responsible for more complex finance activities involving regulatory reporting and accounting policy. Must have strong knowledge of the SEC reporting requirements and guidelines to maintain records. Prepares required financial reports. Supports achievement of business goals by working on more complex activities or projects with others within the unit and with partners. Leads projects and coordinates resources. May provide supervision to a small staff. Can manage partner relationship.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor degree (Accounting/Finance strongly preferred)

  • 5+ years of accounting related experience

  • Strong understanding of balance sheet, income statement and banking products

  • Strong analytical, problem solving capabilities

  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge

  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written, including well-developed presentation skills

  • Ability to collaborate with teammates and business partners

  • Ability to proactively identify problems and develop solutions

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively multi-task.

  • Familiarity with bank regulatory reporting requirements

  • Familiarity with researching financial reporting/ accounting technical requirements

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with SAP general ledger
