Senior Accountant position that assists with providing oversight of the consolidated balance sheet, prepare monthly reconciliations and provide various levels of accounting support internal customers. In addition, identifying and implementing process improvement that drives efficiencies. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting and will be based in our Charlotte, NC corporate office.
Review of consolidated balance sheet accounts through monthly analytics and variance analysis for assigned accounts.
Review monthly working capital analysis in addition to forecasting and budgeting assigned accounts.
Prepare reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and intercompany (Off-Ledger Subsidiaries and International) accounts each month.
Liaison with Off-ledger subsidiaries to provide various levels of support: Upload monthly results, prepare weekly extracts and monthly balance sheet reviews.
Provide support during acquisitions and integrations by preparing upload mapping for designated Off-ledger accounts and assist with balance sheet reviews.
Assist with various monthly accounting close tasks.
Utilize various system solutions to create efficiency in department processes
Identify, evaluate, plan and implement process improvement
Technical experience in database design development to manage data and create reporting
Assist with documentation and executing balance sheet/department initiatives.
Provide ad-hoc reports as requested by management.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
CPA/CPA Candidate strongly desired
4+ years of accounting/finance experience (public and/or industry) including monthly close, account reconciliation and reporting
Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast paced deadline driven environment
Proficient in Microsoft office programs; Access and Advance Excel (macros) desired
SAP and Essbase experience
Experience with a large company (> $3 billion sales preferred)
Strong Accounting knowledge and analytical skills
Sound knowledge of the General Ledger and Subsystems
Detail oriented with excellent problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of Management
Ability to work with managers/department heads across multiple disciplines
