The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. The candidate will provide Program governance and oversight within PVSI Self-Assurance team and would be responsible for working with business unit and risk aligned control teams in the evaluation of the design, data quality, completeness and operating effectiveness of the Self-Assurance inventories and its related elements as prescribed by Self- Assurance policy and PVSI Self- Assurance framework.

As a part of the PVSI Self- Assurance program implementation, the candidate, will help in developing appropriate management tools, reporting mechanisms to monitor the adequacy and completeness of Self- Assurance to ensure compliance to Self- Assurance policy requirements.

This leader will work cross functionally with multiple support partners across PVSI Business Unit control and BU units in in the development and execution of Self Assurance strategy and would work on setting up tools and reports, which will ensure that management has appropriate monitoring and oversight mechanisms to review the on-going effectiveness of PVSI Self- Assurance program. Critical success factor will also include the ability to develop, strategies and partnership with business and functional areas

Specific Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the data quality of design and performance of self-assurance activities and sharing of any exceptions to Self- Assurance program requirements

• Establishing tools and methodologies to ensure end-to-end Self- Assurance process inventories, including compliance, operational risk and financial crime risk and controls

• Review adherence to key elements of Self- Assurances and its alignment to Business process management program.

• Assess identified gaps, analyze root cause and report findings and recommendations to senior management

• Build and foster strong relationships and collaborate effectively by partnering with line of business partners to provide a comprehensive data quality perspective and recommendations as appropriate

• Providing assistance to line of business partners in providing credible challenge for resolving issues and implementing action plans to address data deficiencies

• Report and share Self- Assurance program results to the relevant stakeholders including Senior Leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both
