Bank of America Innovation and Emerging Technology Senior Associate for Corporate Treasury in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

Responsible for leading identification and implementation of automation and emerging technology solutions in Corporate Treasury. Activities include partnering with business leaders to understand current processes that would benefit from automation, identifying and selecting the technologies to automate processes, and leading the execution to implement the solutions.

  • Educate Corporate Treasury business process owners on automation and emerging technologies and use cases to apply the technologies to solve business problems

  • Provide subject matter expertise on automation and emerging technology solutions including Robotics Process Automation, Data Integration and Visualization, and/or Machine Learning Experience

  • Work with business subject matter experts to identify processes for automation

  • Determine appropriate technologies to apply to automate or improve processes

  • Lead proof of concepts / pilots to test suitability of technologies in solving business problems

  • Drive the implementation of the solution across technology and business resources, identifying and eliminating roadblocks

  • Work across the broader Chief Financial Officer organization to partner on opportunities to leverage and reuse solutions across common business processes

  • Communicate to senior stakeholders on progress, issues and results

  • Summarize, create presentations and present initiative-specific key findings, performance and recommendations to Senior and Executive Leadership

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any), CIS, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 7+ years of working experience in software development, process automation and/or related areas

  • Understanding of automation and emerging technology solutions including Robotics Process Automation, Data Integration and Visualization, and/or Machine Learning Experience applying technologies to solve business problems and/or automate processes

  • Experience understanding business processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing technology solutions to remediate inefficiencies

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Brings creative ideas and facilitates effective brainstorming

  • Organized and able to work on multiples tasks with limited supervision

  • Ability to lead/facilitate discussions across various levels of stakeholders/support partners

  • Solid work ethic and willingness to take on new initiatives

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to effective communicate complex and/or technical information, verbally and in Senior and Executive level presentations

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Designing and implementing end-to-end complex business analytics solutions utilizing software including Tableau, Alteryx, Trifacta, MicroStrategy and/or Vena

  • Designing tables and assessing relationships of database systems, including performance tuning, database design, and data models, using Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, MS Access and/or IBM DB2

This role can be filled as a Tech Project Sr Consultant or Manager based on skills and experience.

Manages multiple projects or a single major project that have significant impact on a line of business or a support function. Balances technical requirements with schedule and costs. Assists in defining the scope and impact of projects and effectively communicates the impact on the organization. Establishes project tasks, timelines and budgets and effectively manages them. Defines and evaluates problems and plans effective solutions. Manages associates and makes all decisions on personnel actions including staffing, performance mgmt and comp decision-making. Individual contributor role. Typically requires 7-10 years of applicable experience.
