Bank of America Home Equity Pricing Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for conducting analysis of pricing model output,developing, monitoring, and identifying business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions, and executing strategic enhancementsfor Home Equity Lending. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and solid technical knowledge. This individual will assists with the development and implementation of business strategy including identifying client segment needs, designing and validating concepts, developing business cases, building/maintaining necessary reporting, and partnering with cross-functional business partners. The associate will work closely with product development and modeling teams to develop strategic recommendations. Knowledge of price elasticity concepts and optimization models, pricing strategies is a plus.

  • Experience working with cross-functional partners, e.g. Channel, Finance, Pricing Execution, Risk and Technology to understand and address key business challenges

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to both think strategically and drive tactical implementation

  • Ability to analyze performance data to deliver business insight and define improvement opportunities

  • Ability to analyze product trends and understand the financials of the business

  • Financial analysis, e.g. business case development, scenario analysis, forecast reconciliation

  • Strong communication and presentation skills utilizing PowerPoint

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Advanced Excel user comfortable using V-Lookups, Pivot Tables and other analytical tools

  • Ability to work with large amounts of data via SQL and/or SAS

Desired Skills

  • BA/BS or equivalent; Master’s in Finance or MBA preferred

  • 3+ years in product/program management and/or home lending products

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills

  • Prior pricing/consumer product management and/or Home Equity/1st Mortgage knowledge and experience

Enterprise Description:

Responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS and/or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years’ experience preferred.
