Job Description:

Manages projects limited in scope to LOB products, processes or functions although some may have cross-functional or inter-departmental implications. Serves as secondary contact to senior department managers for critical change initiatives and provides assistance to staff. Partners with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change. Accountable for initiatives limited in scope to department products, processes or functions although some may have cross-functional or inter-departmental implications. Accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation. Plans, organizes, monitors and controls projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion. Develop and socialize potential risk mitigation strategies. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed. Partners with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change. Responsible for Clarity and PCM updates and project documents. Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Typically 3+ plus years of project management support experience.

Overview :

  • The Global Banking Data Technology Project Manager primary role will be to execute data driven projects end to end while supporting and contributing to our organization and agility transformation. This resource will also support Portfolio Execution Team manager in execution of team meetings, special events, org communications and special projects as well as support PMO COE lead.

  • Project Manager will collaborate with Business partners, senior leadership, solution architects, Business and data analysts and development teams and capable of operating at multiple levels of abstraction and have the executive presence and communications skills to operate comfortably at all levels of a technology organization.

  • Plan, and oversee end to end technology solutions delivery to meet key business needs, and stakeholder expectations. Lead and manage program management teams, develop clear program execution plans, manage financial planning, resource strategy, and risk management

Responsibilities :

  • Applies technical knowledge in determining end to end design requirements for large projects involving line of business, software/hardware developers and vendors. Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure. Drives and participates in design, development and implementation of large and complex enterprise wide applications, often using new technologies. Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs. May manage projects including responsibility for end to end project and project budget.

  • Key responsibilities also include: Close partnership with senior technology delivery managers in defining strategy and execution plans, initiative planning, multiyear roadmap planning, resource strategy, budget/financial management, change governance, risks, and controls.

Required Skills:

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in large scale program planning and execution, risk management, resource planning, financial management, change governance, and stakeholder communications. Works under minimal supervision on enterprise wide projects requiring creative solutions. IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience.

  • Solid working knowledge of capabilities and direction of GT&O SDM Program, SDLC Automation Platform/Horizon, Test Automation and familiarity with CODE2.0 suite of tools current and target state. Proficiency with program/project management methodologies and tools in an Agile environment.

  • Demonstrable communications skills, both written and verbal. Should be able to effectively communicate with business partners, senior leadership, and fellow technology teams; should have mastered the art of storytelling and influencing without authority.

  • Sound analytical and diagnostic skills to deal with risk and issues that are not readily defined and/or conflict with available information.

  • Must be results oriented. Proven ability to deliver on high priority business goals. Effectively manage conflicting priorities. Experience with cross LOB / enterprise matrix teams.

  • Other preferred skills: Microsoft Excel (basic data analysis - pivot tables, vlookups, etc), advanced PowerPoint skills

  • Good understanding CCAR, Treasury, Wholesale Credit and & Banking and Treasury business understanding, Bank Capital process and stress testing
