Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The role serves as a liaison between the client (Lowe’s) and SYF on assigned program initiatives that have direct impact on the relationship and the portfolio P/L. The Consumer Client Development Manager’s focus must align with Retailers’ consumer strategy. Attention must be given to improving consumer credit technology, customer experience and updating/improving Lowe’s associate training modules, operating procedures and managing remediation processes.

The incumbent will be a part of the Lowe’s client team but will work closely with business leaders across Synchrony Financial to develop and implement improvements to the overall customer experience as well as define the customer engagement models. Ideal candidate is a high energy self-starter with experience in financial services, sales and relationship management and project management.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with Lowe’s to define and execute the consumer credit strategic vision

  • Drive the desired consumer credit customer experience across the customer lifecycle, continuously drive friction-less customer experience enhancements leveraging technology and optimizing each customer touch point

  • Work with Lowe’s and internal SYF to execute defined roadmap and prioritization of consumer initiatives, with emphasis on aligning to partner timelines.

  • Participate in execution of cross functional project plans with Lowe’s to ensure timely delivery of projects with an emphasis on managing projects providing leadership updates and issue resolution throughout each project.

  • Work with SYF and Lowe’s organizations to manage training requirements improving Lowe’s associate skillset and meeting compliance requirements, updating portfolio Operating Procedures and own remediation processes with emphasis on continual process improvement and reducing customer issues.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of equivalent work experience in Financial services field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales and/or client management experience.

  • Project management experience, including working cross-functionally with teams and managing multiple projects at once

  • Excellent PC proficiency (MS Office Suite) emphasis on excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to influence across a matrix environment

  • Experience working with or another equivalent CRM/customer engagement tool

  • Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the selection process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • Effective 1-1-18, new hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 70,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
