Business Systems Consultant 4 – Connectivity Asset Class (Asset Lifecycle Management Analyst)

The Connectivity Asset Class has been established as a centralized governance team designed to develop, implement and operate compliance activities in alignment with the Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) program, which includes the EPP (Enterprise Patching Program), CMP (Configuration Management Program), VMP (Vulnerability Management Program), and ITAM (IT Asset Management) programs. Classifications for Connectivity included are Data Network, Communication Technologies, Network Management, and Load Balancing across multiple functional teams.

As the Asset Lifecycle Management analyst aligned to the asset class, you will be the primary contact responsible for tracking and reporting on the physical in-scope assets that are supported by the competency center. This will include partnering with additional partner resources, technical and engineering teams, and SACM program resources as part of our program deliverables.

Through the Connectivity Asset Class, you will lead activities to create an accurate inventory of the assets managed by the engineering groups aligned to our team. You will create and provide reporting and tracking to support compliance metrics and assessments on the assets. You will partner with other teams as we work to ensure the assets are being tracked accurately in the appropriate systems of record across lifecycle stages. You will work with the engineering teams to ensure that the data used to track the assets is compliant with the standards established by ITAM and other enterprise asset management policies. You will work with the senior leaders to establish product owners for each asset class along with ensuring that as new assets types are added to the inventory we are placing them into the appropriate categories. You will be involved with asset reconciliation through comprehensive trending analysis and modeling, developing network asset risk profiles associated to vendor published End of Life and End of Support dates (and other risk drivers). You will also work on establishing appropriate mitigation strategies and controls to ensure we have a complete picture of what assets are covered by our competency center and clear ownership of the individual assets.

Your day to day activities will require you pro-actively problem solve, develop solutions, and provide recommendations to peers and various levels of leadership. You will need to take strategies and be able to design and implement actionable processes to meet and exceed requirements. A successful candidate will have strong business analysis experience, including: requirements gathering, process improvement, documentation, communication, reporting, and business partner management.

Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure teams continually meet compliance requirements related to their assets

  • Develop comprehensive asset management reporting

  • Execute against policy and process requirements inclusive of exception and risk acceptance

  • Develop appropriate processes and procedures to support governance functions

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both

  • 1+ year of advanced asset analysis and experience working with all types

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology infrastructure and networking

  • Ability to develop operational reporting and performing complex data analysis

  • Microsoft Excel spreadsheets experience importing, exporting, and manipulating data

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology infrastructure: asset-risk activities and mitigation coordination

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management principles: Infrastructure related projects

  • Exposure to Wells Fargo's Remedy Asset Management (PAC2000) application

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • 1+ year of SQL experience

  • Intermediate Microsoft Visio skills
