Bank of America Business Support Manager II – Charlotte, NC in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or for a complete line of business that may be regional or national in scope, often requiring associates in one or more location. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. Consults with senior management in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business units functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. Generally has full management responsibility over a relatively large team and may manage one or more levels of managers.


  • Lead business management function for Global Treasury Forecasting Technology, including management routines, financial management, event management, employee engagement and workforce planning and management

  • Prepare Finance Technology executives for the full range of engagements with peers, senior leaders and business partners (as needed)

  • Manage and drive production of consistent and appropriate documentation for routines for Technology Executives and business partners

  • Support Finance Technology executives on managing their BAU expenses and governing their initiative portfolio, ensuring visibility of project progress against objectives and tracking decisions/approvals to forecast changes

  • Drive strategies to effectively manage third-party spend, ensuring the proper mix of consulting to full time staff, manage tenure, and governance of license contracts

  • Understand the linkage of programs and projects to business strategy and portfolio priorities; ensure roadmaps are translated into robust delivery milestones

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills, including the ability to make effective presentations

  • Experience working seamlessly with high level Executives

  • Must be analytical, organized and have the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently

  • Advanced/Expert MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint,

  • Ability to bring multiple stakeholders together, cut to the heart of issues to reach consensus & decisions, demonstrate personal courage

  • Extremely organized/excellent time management skills
