McIntire Solutions Assessment & Authorization Systems Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia

Job Summary

McIntire Solutions is seeking to fill an Assessment & Authorization Systems Engineer position that assists our IC customers in developing and revising cloud cyber security strategy then leading full lifecycle development and operations of mission critical enterprise cyber security solutions. The cyber security solutions engineer will work with a diverse group of cyber security leadership and technical information assurance specialists to revise the cloud cyber strategy, then engineer and deploy enterprise cyber security solutions. The cyber security solutions must support and interact with multiple cloud platforms and agency legacy enterprise infrastructures to provide a world class cloud cyber operations platform. The position is based in Northern Virginia with limited travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Engineering, Integration, and System Testing Functions required to successfully deliver capabilities and services to the enterprise.

  • Ensure that all aspects of the projects are assessed, authorized, and delivered according to the implementation plan, the Plan of Actions and Milestones, and the schedule.

  • Ensuring that projects adhere to direction provided in ICD 503, NIST Special Publication 800-53, and other applicable documents

  • Guiding systems through the Risk Management Framework for their end-to-end lifecycle

  • Respond to corporate requests as required

  • Assist cyber security solutions development teams on cloud security best practices and cloud architectural design patterns

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in technical engineering degree, preferably electrical engineering or computer science

  • Active TS/SCI clearance + CI Poly

  • Excellent oral and written communications of advanced concepts and designs to executive leadership and technical design teams

  • Strong familiarity with ICD 503 and NIST SP 800-53

  • Understanding of the Risk Management Framework and its application

  • Strong familiarity with insider threat and enterprise audit systems

  • Strong communications skills with the ability to advocate for project managers and engineering teams

  • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills, including the ability to track multiple projects simultaneously

Desired Qualifications

  • Security + CE, CISSP certifications are strongly preferred

  • Experience with enterprise audit tools (NetWitness, ArcSight) and information systems is desired

  • Experience reviewing project documentation in an A&A or Project Management Framework environment is desired

  • Experience within DoD writing and/or briefing on deadline for Flag Level officers, Senior Executive Service (SES), or Senior National Intelligence Service (SNIS) personnel is desired
