Wells Fargo Apps Lifecycle Engineer - Apps Systems Engineer 5 in Chandler, Arizona

This individual will be a member of Wells Fargo’s engineering team working on the customization, deployment, and enhancement of a private & public cloud computing systems and the automation that supports it. They will serve as Software Development Lifecycle engineer for applications supporting cloud operations, as well as serve as the Application/System/Service Security Representative during security compliance events and operations. This engineer will focus on developing application control procedures and documentation to meet Enterprise Requirements. Range of technologies covered include Python, Puppet, Ansible, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack, VMware, SDElements, Confluence, Jira, etc. Some key responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Developing/Writing Documentation and Security Design/Process Diagrams to meet Enterprise Security Requirements

  • Implement, manage, enforce application security Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Processes using SDElements

  • Assessing and coordinating Patching/Update Requirements from Enterprise Risk/Security

  • Meeting and coordinating with Internal Partners to achieve compliance and provide coordinated feedback on security policy, guidelines, and processes.

  • Document requested application enhancements and implementation ensure it meets enterprise security requirements

  • Developing solutions for applications to comply with enterprise security requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience

  • 7+ years of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience

  • 4+ years of experience communicating system vulnerabilities and remediation guidance to both technical and non-technical personnel

  • 2+ years of Python experience

  • 3+ years of Linux experience

  • 3 + years of Networking experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • 1+ year of JavaScript development experience

  • SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Internet security protocol experience

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

  • Experience with access control lists (ACLs), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) servers, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Active Directory

  • Ability to provide and work from a home office

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
