Position Title Graduate Level Adjunct Instructor – Educational Statistics and Research

Primary Responsibilities

The Education Department at St. Lawrence University invites applications for an adjunct position in the Educational Leadership non-certification Master’s of Education degree program to teach “Educational Statistics and Research.” This research methods course is designed to assist graduate students in the examination and understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods. The goals of the course are: (1) to increase understanding of the research process and research methods; (2) to develop skills to evaluate academic articles in the education literature; and (3) to provide opportunities to apply research skills. Course content should also include IRB standards and the ethics of carefully conducted and disseminated public research. This position is for the 2019 spring semester, which begins January 16, 2019, but there may be opportunities to teach the same course in future semesters. We welcome applications from candidates who bring diverse cultural, ethnic, and national perspectives to their teaching.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree.

Experience that demonstrates preparation and ability to teach research methods to graduate students.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with Master’s or higher in Education or Statistics or Psychology. Preference will be given to applicants with college-level teaching experience.
