JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse, Clinic

LOCATION: Geisinger Holy Spirit Camp Hill Center

DEPARTMENT: Cardiology

WORK SCHEDULE: Days/Evenings

WORK TYPE: Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:

The RN through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation assists the participant with known cardiac disease to optimal physiological, psychological and vocational health. The RN interacts with family and members of the health team while maintaining standards of professional practice.

Demonstrates willingness to accept continuing education to broaden skills.

Recognition of dysrhythmia and awareness of appropriate treatment. Skilled in operation of telemetry monitoring, glucometer and exercise equipment is preferred. Firm foundation to support further development of the following: basic exercise physiology, electrocardiography operation, psychological evaluation and critical decision making skills.

Exhibits strong multi-tasking abilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Requires registered nurse currently licensed in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure.

Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.

Must be qualified to pass medications. Must be BLS and ACLS certified.

Minimum two years current critical care experience required.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
