Robert Half has an opening for a General Office Clerk who can keep an office organized and can handle a variety of social interactions. This essential role performs various administrative support tasks, which includes operating office equipment and completing general clerical work. Based in Caledonia, Michigan, the General Office Clerk role is expected to be a long term temporary role.

  • Maintain Data entry, word processing, filing, scanning, copying, and faxing

  • Provide support to front desk and receptionist duties

  • As required, offer support on diverse employee projects

  • Offer a warm face for customers

  • Receiving and placing telephone calls

  • Delivering customer service quickly and accurately

  • Emphasize proper formatting and style when drafting correspondence

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word

  • Experience in document control

  • Solid understanding of mail processing

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Must have at least 1+ years of Office Clerk experience preferred

  • Experience handling office equipment

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is required for this position

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request

  • Excel experience is desired

  • Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
