Position Description

We are building a next generation Solution Engineering organization with innovation centers (known as Cloud Solution Hubs) in the United States, located in across four major cities in the US. The mission of these hubs is to build and engineer cutting-edge solutions for our customers around who are looking to innovate using cloud-based technologies and other emerging areas around artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, cybersecurity, virtual/augmented/mixed realities and many other exciting areas of innovations. As the Manager of the Application Integration team, you will have responsibility for managing a team of Solution Engineers, located inside a Cloud Solution Hub. You will own Solution Engineering delivery for Integration focused solutions and innovations. You are expected to be a deep knowledgeable expert in the fields of Data and Application Integrations. You should be deeply knowledgeable on Microservices and modern API development trends and best practices. This team under you will own all solution engineering and innovations for integrating between on-premise to cloud applications, as well between multiple cloud applications. You will be measured on key metrics around new sales, customer success, new innovations and talent development.

Preferred Requirements

  • 3 years experience as a leader of presales or customer-facing team of software engineers and/or developers

  • 3 years experience working to engineer Application and Data Integration, Microservice and API solutions for enterprise IT environments.

  • Experience with Agile and SCRUM-based projects or working with rapid and iterative technical design/implementation projects

  • Understand DevOps and software development lifecycles

  • Can manage successful delivery of a portfolio of customer engagements

  • Know how to maintains a culture of team collaboration and knowledge-sharing

  • Strong mentor for top and rising talent in the team

  • Strong client-facing and project management skills

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sales cycle.

As part of the Oracle sales team you will direct and manage pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle. Provides technical/functional leadership to the sales team in the development and implementation of customer applications and customer products. Participates in account planning and strategy development. May publishes technical information of specific applications and/or technical articles. Works with management to define new products. Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Knowledge of software industry relating to all aspects of ebusiness solutions. Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent.
