This role sits within the Offer & Supply Chain (or OSC’s) Sourcing team. The Sourcing function is set up to source the products we sell across our Operating Companies, manage our suppliers and make the most of our scale to deliver high quality products our customers want, at a cost they can afford.
They have the a great opportunity to lower the total costs of our new ranges while improving product quality, doing this by reducing the number of products we stock, designing new ranges to cost and sourcing high quality global manufacturers who can produce large volumes for a lower price per unit.
They will also sourcing direct from factories and transforming the way we procure suppliers, levelling the playing field with more competitive tenders that deliver the best value for Kingfisher.
We are looking for a Vendor Readiness Buying Office Lead to support all vendor readiness activity at local Buying Office and Opco level by working closely with local teams by promoting best practice and supporting progress in all Vendor Readiness activities.
You will act as a key stakeholder for Kingfisher Buying Offices on any matter supporting communications planning, contract changes and local implementation of Wholesale. You will regularly track and report on progress in local onboarding activity.
As the Vendor Readiness Buying Office lead you will support the sourcing office on a 2 year fixed term contract, and bring a wealth of experience from an international supply chain environment, including strong knowledge on sourcing and vendor management insights.
You will have good knowledge of sourcing processes and tools, ideally having worked with SAP EDI messages. You will be familiar with project management, planning and organisation, analysis and data management and Critical Path Analysis (CPA), and you have good presentation skills.
