L3Harris Geospatial Solutions Inc. (HGSI) is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Account Manager who thrives in a competitive sales environment to bring your experience in technical sales and proposal writing and leverage it to win new business in the fed/civil space and targeted commercial markets. The successful candidate will have a strong background in remote sensing and/or geospatial technology combined with a passion for helping customers solve their hardest problems. This position will contribute to the overall NA commercial revenue targets by finding, responding to, and winning proposals associated with federal/civil government RFPs and/or new commercial projects. The successful candidate will also support the solutions delivery consulting team to write, review, and manage proposals related to new opportunities and/or funded commercial project. This role is based in Broomfield, Colorado.
Work closely with customers to uncover opportunities and understand their needs, and appropriately position HGSI products and services as value propositions that solve the customer’s problems.
Engage frequently with sales engineers and solutions delivery project management to help define and develop technical proposals that drive new revenue and that fit into the customer’s budget.
Assist in proposal writing efforts as needed.
Responsible for an individual quota as part of the NA sales team and contributing to the commercial business revenue target.
Responsible for accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting across all stages of the sales cycle.
Represent Harris at industry events including trade shows, conferences, and other venues.
Understanding HGSI offerings and how those can fill customer solution gaps is the key to being successful in this position
Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
3+ years sales experience
Prior work or focus on remote sensing, geospatial, or GIS product and solutions sales
Experience with proposal writing
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with ENVI, IDL, ArcGIS or other imagery or GIS software a plus
