SSM Health Radiologic Technologist in Bridgeton, Missouri
Under general supervision, and following established policies and procedures, operates and adjusts diagnostic X-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images of designated portions of the body to meet the national standard for reduction rate. Maintains excellent customer service skills to enhance the patient experience and increase patient satisfaction. Assists physician/radiologist in procedural studies. Additionally, this position requires the x-ray technologist to support and facilitate departmental initiatives and perform other duties assigned.

24 month program in AMA-approved school; ARRT
Must be registered within 6 months of hire date
Employees in this position are, or can be, required to possess the following physical capabilities:
Lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 100 lbs.
Stooping, kneeling and/or crouching daily
Standing or walking more than 6 hours a day
Running to respond to patient emergencies
Reaching, grasping, fingering, and/or feeling more than 6 hours a day
Visual acuity in order to correctly distinguish skin tone variations, evidence of IV infiltration, infection; able to read telemetry, blood pressure gauges, etc.
Audio acuity in order to correctly distinguish various body sounds (i.e., respirations, heart tones, bowel sounds).
Audio acuity to discern sounds made by various types of machinery or equipment that would indicate dangerous or improper operation.
