People's United Bank CID ACCOUNT SPECIALIST in BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut

Job Description:

This position is responsible for performing administrative and technical tasks in support of clients, account managers and producers.

Principal Responsibilities :

Performs technical and administrative tasks to assist account managers and producers in providing a high level of customer service on commercial lines accounts.

Processes a wide range of documents, including certificates of insurance, evidence of property insurance, cancellations and reinstatements, as well as endorsement and policy checking.

Maintains files on agency management systems in adherence with internal policies and procedures.

Acts as a back-up to our claims specialist in reporting claims to the carriers.

Participates in special projects at the request of management.

Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.

Job Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalency required.

1-3 years relevant experience.

CT Property-Casualty Producer license is required within one year of hire.

Completion of, or enrollment in INS or AAI series is desirable.

Job Specific Competencies:

Effective PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and agency management system.

Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary to provide courteous and professional client service.

Organizational skills and attention to detail are required to perform administrative and technical tasks in a highly efficient manner.

Ability to work well with a team and share knowledge and skills with CID Account Support Specialists.

Ability to handle escalated situations using effective interpersonal and problem solving skills.
