We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor that can apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures. The Accounting Manager/Supervisor will supervise and train on day-to-day general accounting functions and accounting operations which include coding invoices and compilation of data for various accounting reports. As the Accounting Manager/Supervisor you will also supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
Essential Functions: Guides the group toward its goals, sees that all members of the team are productive, and resolve problems as they arise. Supervises accounting personnel. Supervises the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems. Interacts with internal and external auditors in completing audits. Oversees the preparation of profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports. Manages, compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions. Manages payroll preparation and processing, payroll tax reporting and payroll systems maintenance. Reviews budgets and expenditures for local, state, federal, and private funding, contracts, and grants submitted by staff. Establishes, maintains, and coordinates the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures. Monitors and reviews accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness. Prepares and reviews budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents. Analyzes revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control. Explains billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients. Resolves accounting discrepancies. Recommends, develops and maintains financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business administration or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required Master's Degree: Preferred
Work Experience: Five years healthcare accounting experience: Preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA): Preferred
