Fortive Corporation Electrical Assembler I in Boxborough, Massachusetts

POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a highly-skilled, reliable, and self-motivated Electrical Assembler I to join our growing team. The desired candidate will be responsible for producing wire/solder electrical cabling and harnesses in accordance with electrical schematics and engineering drawings in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities will also include testing and validation of work to our quality standards. To succeed in this position, you will be an independent, competent, thorough professional who takes great pride in your work and are committed to safety and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work with blueprints, schematics, drawings, and written or verbal instructions to assemble products in a timely manner. • Test and validate functional parameters using digital multimeter, cable tester, and other defined test fixtures/setups. • Rework/modify and/or repair assemblies as required. • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to resolve build and quality issues. • Maintain accurate and complete procedure or system check off sheets where applicable. • Participate in 5S and drive daily management to establish, maintain, and continuously improve a clean and safe working environment.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL you’ll need to be highly dependable with a flexible schedule as needed, basic understanding of soldering techniques in association with IPC-A-610 or IPC-A-620, and a strong understanding of electrical workmanship and regulatory standards. You’ll need a working knowledge in the use of a digital multi-meter, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, documentations, etc. QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills/Experience: • Competence in Microsoft Office • Cable and harness assembly experience. • IPC standard soldering experience. • Basic knowledge of MRP system, KanBan process, and material flow.

Not Required but Desired Skills/Experience: • Certification with an accredited Electronic Program • Previous education in electrical components • IPC Accreditation/Certification • Experience working in an ISO:9001 certified environment. • Experience working in an ISO:13485 certified environment
