Applications are invited for non-tenure-track Burnett Meyer Instructorships, to begin 8/17/2020. These term positions are renewable annually for up to a total of three years. Candidates in all areas of mathematics will be considered. The position has a teaching load of three courses per year. Selection will be based on research achievement, but documented evidence of strong teaching is necessary and departmental and university research interests and priorities will be taken into account.
Who We Are
The Department of Mathematics presently has twenty-seven tenured and tenure-track faculty as well as five postdoctoral fellows and visitors. The Mathematics Department has over fifty graduate students and serves well over five hundred undergraduate majors and minors. We have a broad range of research interests in Mathematics, including Algebraic and Differential Geometry, Combinatorics, Logic and Foundations, Mathematical Physics, Number Theory, Noncommutative Geometry, Operator Algebras, PDE, Probability, and Topology. Candidates must have a PhD in Mathematics before the position begins.
