Ammeraal Beltech Strategic Account Manager - Trace Detection (Explosives) in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Descriptions:

Green Belting Industries Limited (www.greenbelting.com), a division of Ammeraal Beltech NV, is a leading manufacturer of PTFE and silicone coated fiberglass fabric, belts and tape products supplying customers in a diverse group of industries throughout the world. We are a fast paced /growth PE owned global and multi-location company, deadline driven manufacturing environment (non-union) with an emphasis on project management, KPIs, 80/20 mindset, and continuous improvement.

We are currently looking for an experienced Strategic Account Manager preferably located in Baltimore or Boston to play a critical role in expanding and building relationships within the Trace Detection industry. Our ideal candidate should have the ability to conceptualize and communicate to customers on how Green Belting products can impact the Trace Detection industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Close new business with new and existing customers to meet or exceed the Sales Quota assigned.

  • Create a Sales Plan for the assigned market vertical. The plan will contain qualitative/quantitative information and provide the Director of Global Sales with the required information to capture all available sales opportunities within the market vertical.

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all assigned Green Belting products, features, functions, benefits and competitive products.

  • Sell products to meet various application requirements as determined with the customer assisting with process adjustments if necessary to facilitate maximum product use advantage.

  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.

  • Understand product functionality/capability gaps and define ways to address gaps.

  • Drive exploration of new markets/verticals. Stay abreast of market trends to identify potential opportunities/risk for company growth.

  • Monitor the competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.

  • Ensure update of all sales/contact activity into the CRM system (Salesforce.com) to enable management to access current reports as needed. Submit reports as requested such as specific account detail, product trails and/or specific project details, as well as monthly pipeline summaries.

  • Participate at tradeshows, conferences and other events as required.

Required Experience:

  • Extensive experience and demonstrable success in a B2B industrial sales environment preferably in the Trace Detection (Explosive) industry.

  • Exposure in selling to customers in market segments such as, Aviation, Ports, Border Protection and Government sector preferred.

  • Post-secondary degree in business or engineering or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed appropriate for the position.

  • Technical ability and strong mathematical skills including concepts and the ability to apply them.

  • Strong presentation, sales, negotiation and influencing skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to perform Product Training within assigned accounts.

  • Proficient knowledge of applicable computer operating systems and software including but not limited to MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), CRM (Salesforce.com), ERP, and internet with the ability to apply current technology to all practical tasks.

  • Valid passport and Driver’s license to allow for required travel to customers within the targeted market

Travel Requirements

International travel: 50% to 75% travel to support sales cycles and marketing event
