The Barbie lab at the Lowe Center for Thoracic Oncology is seeking applications for a post-doctoral fellowship in translational research. Specific studies include the development and validation of short term culture systems using murine or patient derived tumors to study mechanisms of ex vivo response to PD-1 blockade and to guide the development of combination therapies. The laboratory is focused on developing novel treatment strategies for patients with lung and other cancers. The person would work in conjunction with technicians and other post-doctoral fellows both at Dana-Farber and at MIT.

Ph.D. and/or M.D./Ph.D. degree. The applicant should have a strong background in cancer biology and immunology, and prior experience working with mouse or human tissues, including familiarity with tissue processing and analysis. Proficiency in fluorescence and basic microscopy, standard molecular biology techniques and cell culture is necessary.
