Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Research Fellow in Boston, Massachusetts

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced bench-level scientist to join our team. The major focus of this position will include developing and executing biological assays for inhibitor discovery and characterization while investigating biological role of the targeted proteins in cancer.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Performing cell and molecular biology research including but not limited to tissue culture, genetic manipulation through shRNA/CRISPR, routine protein/RNA/DNA analyses including ChIP-seq and RNA-seq.

  • Performing preclinical translational studies in mouse models of cancer.

  • Performing laboratory experiments and conducting data analysis.

  • Designing experiments and executing protocols.

  • Maintaining accurate records, writing reports, and preparing/giving presentations.

  • PhD or MD/PhD in biological sciences or equivalent

  • A strong background in biochemistry, chromatin biology, cancer biology, molecular biology and/or cell biology.

  • Experience with mouse models of cancer (xenografts, PDXs, GEMMs) is desired.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • The ability to perform both self-directed and guided research is required.

  • Must demonstrate outstanding ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists.

  • Candidates with experience on cancer biology is preferred, but not required.
