Description

TheDigital Sales Manageris the business owner of the end-to-end digital experience of Retail and Small Business Segment customers, across multiple digital channels: the public website and retail online banking. Responsible for driving business success of these digital sales platforms, as measured by sales-related KPIs and metrics that will improve a customer’s experience and take cost out of the bank. Additionally, he or she will lead the management and product development roadmap of the digital sales roadmap. The leader will manage the day-to-day relationship with business segments and with downstream internal stakeholders, including IT, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Risk & Operational Risk.

RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENTS:

  • Accountable for delivering an aggressive growth plan for the online sales, focusing on increasing eBanking activation, paperless adoption and leading digital transaction migration efforts to lower bank operating costs.

  • Works alongside the Digital Sales Product owners to drive digital sales for their segment, balancing upstream Retail segment and product team stakeholder needs with downstream stakeholder capacity, required for the successful launch and operation of the platforms, including IT, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, etc.

  • Ensures all business practices are 100% within regulatory, compliance and internal risk controls.

  • Creates staffing and executional plans for the product feature and business growth

  • Manages the Channels relationship with the Mass Market and Mass Affluent retail bank consumer segment teams, and is responsible for protecting their business and customers best interests across the digital platforms

  • Provides leadership to managers and the professional staff operating multiple sales platforms: the Deposits, Small Business, Mortgage and Consumer Lending Web Account Opening platforms. Provides on-going coaching to direct reports in order to motivate and drive business results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 12-15 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of Digital Web Account Opening Regulatory guidance (REG E, REG Z, Schumer Box, Reg DD, etc)

  • A broad, strategic thinker with proven execution capabilities.

  • Deep experience in digital, financial services, either via consultant experience or direct.

  • Highly analytical; able to size opportunity, understand market demand and sizing, facile with business cases, sales funnels and conversion rates.

  • Execution experience – need to have experience in either managing teams or driving execution of new products, enhancements or new initiatives.

  • Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and forging to create clarity and focus.

  • Significant influencing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills; able to skillfully build narratives for multiple audiences.

  • Responsibility for building best in class end-to-end customer experiences for the online account opening platforms

  • Deep understanding of user-centered design and product development processes and demonstrated experience using these effectively, skilled in information architecture and interface design.

  • A solid understanding and demonstration of user-centered design principles and experience using Design Thinking framework and other human-centered design techniques, including persona development and journey-mapping.

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging user research effectively.

  • Customer first mindset; passion for improving customer experience with – killer interaction design skills, and capabilities within IA, research, content strategy and/or visual design

  • Experience working with business and development teams throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Acute understanding of Risk appetite and managing risks.

  • Primary vendor service management of Bottomline
