State of Massachusetts Digital Engagement and Outreach Coordinator in Boston, Massachusetts

_PURPOSE OF THE JOB_

Assist the Veterans’ Bonus Division with the administration of the program and the dissemination of information to active and discharged service members who have served in the military after September 11, 2001 in accordance with Chapter 130 of the Acts of 2005 and Chapter 132 of the Acts of 2009 as well as veterans who served in World War II, Korea and the Vietnam Conflict. This position will assist with implementing an integrated digital communications strategy to inform potential eligible veterans of the bonuses.

_ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES_

·Develop Veterans’ Bonus program content and strategy for all digital platforms;

·Create correspondence which includes letters, flyers, power point presentations, and emails to inform veterans of the bonus eligibility requirements;

·Create and coordinate for approval regular, quality content across social media platforms, including social media posts and graphics;

·Assist with researching and coordinating outreach activities that target Massachusetts active duty military personnel and veterans that are living in and outside of Massachusetts;

·Attend and present the Veterans’ Bonus program to audiences at outreach events;

·Review and process applications using Microsoft Dynamics 365 database;

·Contact and assist Veterans to provide the proper documentation to complete an application;

·Scan and file application packages received by the department via an electronic records management software program;

·Provide customer service to external and internal customers.

_OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES_

·Provide research and support services for various treasury departments or projects.

·Assist the Specialist in retrieving or sending of mail.

·Performs other related duties as assigned.

·Must be willing and able to work a schedule, Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays from 8:45am to 5:00pm

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

·Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; problem solving skills; and working knowledge of essential computer applications (MS Office, Social Media platforms).

·Ability to work independently.

·Effective written and verbal communications.

·Familiar with military service and terminology.
