This postion provides administrative support to the Clinical Research Lab which handles sample processing for patients on clinical trials at the institute.
Responsible for receiving and tracking clincal trial samples
Responsible for receiving and tracking research samples
Maintain and update reserach codes and contact lists
Prepare research sample transposrt sheets for clinic
Maintain and update study team contact with protocols
Define new protocols in lab access database
Update lab SOP's and database with amendmenr changes
Montor lab database entries for accuracy
Perform all billing functions and maintain special lab processing charges
Order and inventory lab supplies
Maintain reagent list with expiration dates
Follow up with study teams regarding sample/shipping storage issues
Manage unused vials area
Schedule, host and manage external audit visitsManage weekend samples
Maintain freezer maps and assist with freezer inventory
Assist with freezer maintenance
Answers phones and directs calls to appropriate parties.
Responsible for general office duties such as copying, filing, faxing, greeting visitors and maintaining the cleanliness of office area.
May be asked to cover for other administrative support staff during absences.
Perform duties related to other special projects as required.
Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 0-3 years relevant experience working in a medical or scientific research setting or comparable technology-oriented business environment is preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledgeable of computer applications including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with peers, leadership and external contacts.
Must posses the ability to maintain confidentiality and pay attention to detail.
Excellent ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through.
