Job Description:

This role is responsible for leading the daily operations of a delivery distribution pad. Provides daily leadership and development to supervisory staff. Ensures all performance, safety and quality policies and procedures are meeting Best Buy’s high standards. Actively leads and participates in long and short-term planning for the center.

Responsible for maintaining an efficient operation and process improvements to ensure operational goals and P&L budgets are met. Has direct responsibility for creating and managing an environment of openness and trust for all employees. Creates and fosters a team environment by building relationships with peers, corporate support teams, Retail, Services, and third-party partners to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and leadership to operations staff including supervisory staff. Leads all performance, safety, and quality policies/procedures are met for various departments (Inbound, Outbound, AP, etc.) through effective performance management programs. Provides support for solving problems, and seeking process and system improvements. Utilizes people, tools, space, and equipment effectively to meet required levels of service for internal and external customers.

  • Hire, develop, coach and council Best Buy Leaders to support and lead employees by living and role modeling Best Buy's Values and Leadership Expectations, in addition to our Coaching and Corrective Action program. Manages the performance of third-party vendors, including; transportation and/or home delivery to drive accountability for internal and external customers.

  • Maintains effective and ongoing partnerships with customers both internally and externally (retail, contract carrier, service, third-party vendors) by providing feedback and guidance in support of the overall customer service mission.

  • Responsible for identifying operational improvement opportunities. Partners with corporate Supply Chain teams to lead or implement projects focused on improvement initiatives.

  • Actively participates in special projects, company initiatives, community building events, and other leadership duties as apparent or assigned. Planning, organization, and follow-up essential to success

Basic Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in leading teams

Preferred Requirements

  • Associates Degree or higher

  • 1 year of experience managing people leaders

  • 4 years of Logistics, Operational, Warehouse, Inventory, Customer Service experience

  • 2 years of Warehouse Management Systems experience

  • Ability to relocate
