Burch Corporation Service Coordinator in Birmingham, Alabama

Burch Corporation is looking for a Service Coordinator for our Birmingham, AL office. The Service Coordinator is the interface between the customer and our technicians. The Service Coordinator delivers consistent, exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs, assigning the appropriate technicians and other resources to meet these needs, and providing appropriate follow up. The Service Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Service Manager, while providing the highest level of customer service.


  • Answer incoming office and service calls

  • Scheduling and dispatching technicians for service contracts

  • Release of purchase order numbers

  • Handling of parts orders

  • Review of paperwork turned in by technicians

  • Control and issuance of shop inventory

  • Insure that all customer requests and issues are handled correctly and promptly

  • Other duties to be defined based upon candidate’s skill set and experience

    Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Provide professional internal and external customer service

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Ideal candidate should work well under pressure, be self-motivated, organized and dependable

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Previous dispatching experience a plus
