The Eligibility Representative – COS will screen patients for possible financial assistance programs to assist with hospital financial responsibilities. Perform any and all related job duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities
Screen patients for possible financial assistance programs.
Assist patients with the completion of applications.
Follow up with patients and agencies to ensure eligibility for date(s) of service.
Manage a group of accounts on a daily in accordance to standard operating procedure.
Update patient account status in hospital system and Navigant Cymetrix CUBS system on a daily basis.
Work closely with hospital employees and third party agencies.
Participate in hospital meeting as deemed necessary.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Communicates daily with coworkers, hospital and management in regard to account progress and or issues.
Act as liaison between the patient, the client and outside eligibility agencies to ensure favorable outcomes.
High school graduate (college preferred).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Healthcare background preferred.
Working knowledge / experience of Federal, State, and County eligibility programs.
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently
Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work
Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location
Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data
Generally works in an office environment
