MGM Resorts International Poker Room Chip Runner Part Time (Beau Rivage) in Biloxi, Mississippi
Responsible for greeting of customers when they enter the room. Assisting Brush person with their duties. Assists in maintaining poker table banks. Adhering to all state and regulatory compliances.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:
Greets customers as they enter the room.
Assists in the placement of guests into games.
Gets players checks and maintains poker table banks to ensure efficient operation.
Answers questions for guests.
Develops customer relations and facilitating usage of the Mlife Card.
Responsible for attending to guests needs.
Maintains a clean and safe environment.
Responsible for tracking players by using computer tracking system.
Maintains set ups to return to poker tables.
Acts in the capacity of other positions on an as needed basis.
Assumes additional responsibilities on an as needed basis.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :
High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of poker room experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must be 21 years of age or older.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Mississippi Gaming Permit
Professionalism at all times
Well groomed and neat appearance.
Customer service oriented, excellent people skills are a must
Some knowledge of all poker games and procedures
1 year experience preferred.
Basic and intermediate math skills, computer literate, telephone communication
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly sitting, listening, and speaking.
Occasionally walking distances of 10 to 30 ft., between various areas of the Department.
Frequently using wrist motion, dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and writing, typing on computer keyboard.
Occasionally carrying, pushing, pulling up to 10 lbs.
Work performed indoors, in climate controlled environment. Employee may be exposed to dust and secondhand smoke. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Regular scheduled hours. Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours.
