Seeking a strong IT Manager to oversee an IT team of 6-8 people.
- Provide technical leadership and successfully direct the activities of the IT Operations Team through management, planning, execution, monitoring and support.
Manage and retain a team of technical engineers and specialists.
Work to ensure a secure computing environment, protecting against unauthorized access/disclosure of property, systems and data.
Design, implement and own support procedures governing IT purchasing, asset tracking and other procedures as needed.
Works with VP in negotiating and preparing IT-related contracts, service agreements and other legal documents.
Responsible for managing the helpdesk activities to provide superior customer service
Oversee the operations of the Data Center, implementing and executing processes and procedures that support the organization?s commitment to quality computing and access to mission critical data.
Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals and facilitate their contribution to the organization as well as professional growth.
Support the Vice President in strategic planning and annual budgeting initiatives for the IT department.
Manage the IT Operations budget, including the purchase of hardware, software and services.
Maintain a strong technical knowledge of networking, telecommunications, hardware, software, security, business continuity and federal regulations that guides the IT industry, including, but not limited to, security.
Provide technical leadership and direction to the IT Operations team.
Develop and nurture relationships with vendors and contractors that provide IT services to the organization.
Proven team leader with the ability to manage, motivate and supervise technical staff.
Superior project management skills with the ability to deliver projects on time, on budget and according to specifications.
Thorough knowledge and experience running a mission critical IT Operations team and data center, including telecommunications, Internet, networking, hardware, software and mobile computing and security best practices.
Outstanding ability to communicate orally and in writing. This includes the ability to communicate complicated technical information to non-technical audiences.
Superior analytical skills with the ability to clearly state a problem and formulate solutions.
Ability to manage an IT Operations support team through periods of intense change and stress, including new technology implementation cycles and outages.
Detail oriented and highly organized.
Proven experience developing and monitoring financial budgets.
Bachelor?s degree in information technology or related field
Ten or more years of information technology experience.
