System Administrator 3-IT
The Senior Service Reliability Operator (SRO) will conduct activities concerned with ensuring the performance and reliability of our applications. This includes monitoring, implementing and validating configuration changes, gathering and reporting metrics, providing support to other teams and incident management.
Monitor automated alerts from various monitoring systems.
Interact with the Customer Support Organization in the capacity of Tier 3 customer support.
Work with DBAs and support to manage issues caused by inefficient database queries.
Resolve problems by executing Standard Operating Procedures. Provide feedback to enhance Standard Operating Procedures.
Identify and implement improvements to the team’s processes.
Perform routine checks at the start of shifts.
Develop training for other team members.
Have coding skills and Automation of tasks
Other specific projects as required.
Key skills requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Electronics / Electric Engineering or equivalent.
Understanding of the concepts behind web application stacks.
Operating System: Excellent understanding of Linux OS and its command-line admin tools
Database: Mysql and Oracle Data Base
Understanding /reading /writing/troubleshooting SQL script is a must.
Web servers: Experience on Tomcat, Nginx, and WebLogic
Scripting: Shell script, Python Script is must
Application support experience in SaaS (software as a service) environment.
Knowledge of Virtualization and Scripting would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of Oracle DB would be good to have.

Excellent understanding of Linux OS and its command-line admin tools.
Understanding of relational database concepts.
A good grounding in Oracle and Mysql query optimization.
Use of administration tools.
Experience with Oracle Database a strong plus.
Working knowledge of web services, Apache, Tomcat, Java, and WebLogic, BigIp F5
Web servers and Application servers experience.
Hands-on experience supporting Web Applications, REST and SOAP API
Skills that would be considered an advantage:
Understanding of SMTP and e-mail delivery
Use of Git or other code control tools an advantage.
Bash and/or Python scripting an advantage.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and HTML
API calls -SOAP and REST API's
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge database/applications company.
Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity. Propose client configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system. Work with others to define, coordinate vendor purchase needs. Responsible for support documentation as well.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field.
