About Business Unit:

Systems management products provide the ability to easily monitor, manage, update, and deploy to servers in your datacenter from a single console.

OpenManage Enterprise is the next generation OpenManage Essentials. It simplifies, centralizes and automates the full span of server lifecycle management activities – discovery, configuration, deployment, updates, and remediation – within a single console that unifies management of tower, rack and modular platforms. OpenManage Integration for Vmware vCenter augments this solution by enabling the administrators to natively manage both physical and virtual infrastructure from a single pane of glass.

We work on Dell's flagship one-to-one and one-to-many systems management console product (web-based/CLI) which is easy to install, intuitively simple to use, and customer-acclaimed, that is optimized to provide comprehensive server & storage management of Dell PowerEdge converged, rack and tower servers. This product also delivers extensive health monitoring, configuration, alerting, and support for Dell servers & storage.

Key Responsibilities:

As a SW Engineer 2 in the Systems Management group in Server BU, you would be responsible for analyzing requirements and developing features for the management application product. In addition to that you will have numerous opportunities to carry out interesting and challenging proof of concept work based on the specification provided by a product architect.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Owning and driving design and development of complex features in a large enterprise scale application.

  • Offering impact analysis on our products from new technologies, partner ecosystem changes

  • Participating in architectural and design reviews during concept and development phases.

  • Actively participating in all design and code review sessions within the team

  • Keep abreast of and contribute towards emerging system management and technology trends in the industry.

Essential Requirements:

  • Hands-on working experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate and SOAP/REST based Web Services. Should also have good knowledge in HTML5, JSON, CSS, Javascript and Angular JS.

  • Strong understanding of design patterns, experience in multi-threading, IPC, socket programming is preferred.

  • Experience working on Systems Management Software, Layered application development, third party libraries, and development & debug tools.

  • Basic understanding of Linux, Virtualization (vSphere preferred) and Cloud technologies

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Self-driven and flexible to work on assignments with strict deadlines

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

Education : Educational Qualification (BE/BTech/ME/MTech/MS/MCA)
